What U-value does a flat rooflight reach?
Thermally broken aluminium flat rooflights reach whole-unit U-values from 0.9 W/m²K where specified, with double or triple glazing. Because a rooflight faces straight up it sees more sky and more solar gain than a window, so the glass specification carries most of the result. We confirm the figure for your unit at quote.
Are your flat rooflights fixed, or do they open?
The flat rooflights we supply are fixed units, quoted from drawings. That keeps the sightline low and the detail simple where the rooflight is there for daylight rather than ventilation. If the room needs ventilation as well, tell us at quote and we will spec it into the wider opening schedule instead.
