Aluminium supply for installers and contractors across Preston
Preston and Central Lancashire give the trade a real mix of work, from period and new-build homes in Fulwood, Penwortham and Broughton through to retail, office and education schemes around the city centre and the business parks off the M6 and M65. That spread is exactly what we built VitrineAlu around. We are a fabricator first, so a builder finishing a high-spec house extension and a shopfitter handling a commercial frontage both get specified and quoted from the same workshop, on the same terms.
Everything is made to order in Haydock against your drawings. We do not hold a fixed catalogue of stock sizes and try to make your job fit it. You tell us the openings, the performance you need and the finish, and we work back to the right aluminium system and glazing for that project. For trade buyers running several jobs across the Preston area at once, that means one account, one point of contact and consistent quality across residential and commercial work.
The range we fabricate and supply
We carry a broad aluminium range so you can keep most of a project with one fabricator rather than splitting supply across several. Slim sightlines, large glass sizes and low whole-unit U-values are standard requests on the high-end residential work around Preston, and the commercial side leans on doors, screens and curtain walling that have to perform and look right in a public setting.
- Aluminium bifold doors and sliding or patio doors for big openings and garden-facing extensions
- Aluminium casement windows, plus tilt-and-turn where ventilation and cleaning access matter
- Entrance doors, steel-look internal doors and screens for heritage and contemporary interiors
- Commercial doors, shopfronts and curtain walling for retail, office and mixed-use schemes
- Roof lanterns and flat rooflights, and heritage-style units where a slimmer profile is needed
Drawing-led quoting and trade accounts
The process is built for trade buyers who already know their numbers. Send drawings, a schedule or even marked-up sizes and we specify the route, confirm the glazing make-up and quote the finished units. Where a job needs PAS 24 routes, specific acoustic performance to Rw 46 dB where specified, or a particular finish to match existing work, we confirm all of that on the quote rather than leaving it loose.
Pricing and lead times are confirmed per project at quote, because a run of casement windows for a Fulwood refurbishment and a curtain walling package for a city-centre unit are not the same job. A trade account gives you proper terms, repeatable quoting and a fabricator who already understands how you work. If you are weighing up the route for a tricky opening, our guide to aluminium U-values is a useful reference before you send the drawings over.
Supplied from Haydock into Central Lancashire
We are based in Haydock, St Helens, which sits well for the run north up the M6 into Preston and across central Lancashire. Finished units are available for collection from the workshop or delivery into the area, arranged around your site programme. You handle the install and manage your own labour on site, the way trade buyers prefer.
We work to BS EN 14351-1 and, for curtain walling, BS EN 13830, with UKCA and Declaration of Performance support where you need it. If you have homeowner enquiries you cannot take on directly, point them to our find-an-installer page and we will route them to a vetted local installer rather than competing with your work.
Common questions
Do you supply trade only, or can homeowners buy direct?
We supply the trade. VitrineAlu fabricates and supplies aluminium to installers, builders, main contractors, shopfitters and specifiers, and we do not install or fit. Homeowners in the Preston area are referred to a vetted local installer through our find-an-installer page, so we never compete with the trade we supply.
Where are you based and do you deliver to Preston?
We fabricate in Haydock, St Helens. Finished units are available for collection from the workshop or for delivery north into Preston, Fulwood and central Lancashire, arranged around your site programme.
How do I get a quote?
Send your drawings, schedule or sizes and we specify the route, confirm the glazing and quote the finished units. You can start by opening a trade account or sending the details through our quote page. Pricing and lead times are confirmed per project at quote.
What aluminium products can you supply for a Preston project?
A broad range, including bifold, sliding and patio doors, casement and tilt-and-turn windows, entrance doors, steel-look internal doors and screens, commercial doors and shopfronts, curtain walling, and roof lanterns and rooflights, including heritage-style options. We quote the right system per project.
What performance figures can you achieve?
It depends on the system specified for your job, with whole-unit Uw confirmed per finished unit at quote. As starting points where specified, bifolds from 0.9, sliding from 1.0, casements from 0.85, tilt-and-turn from 0.71 and curtain walling Ucw from 0.6, with acoustic performance to Rw 46 dB and PAS 24 routes where specified.
